The Spider
The spider is the weaver of the world. It weaves the web of fate. Look at the beautiful patterns and designs in spider webs.
Spiders are creative and spider medicine people are known for their creativity. They seem to have divine inspiration.
Creative powers of spider people seem to connect the past and the future. Creating an illusion of patterns that are always changing.
The spider teaches us to be the masters of our own fate, to weave our own destiny. We create our own lives. When a spider appears in our lives it is to remind us of our own creativity.
Some attributes of the spider are, wisdom, creativity, balance and communication. Like the spider we must learn that what we create, we can let go and re-create another reality.
With 8 legs and the body in the shape of an 8, when you turn the 8s on their side they are the sign for infinity. This medicine teaches us to look beyond the here and now reality we have created, and into the infinity of other dimensions.
The spider is ancient. A symbol of power and mystery. Consider the spider web, how it changes to serve the needs of the spider. So we must be prepared to weave and create our own lives. Adjusting them to fit our needs.
We, like the spider, must be alert to needed changes in our lives. We have to be constantly asking ourselves if our choices have given us the life that we want. How can we improve our lives.
